Unless you have been living under a rock, you have undoubtedly heard of Google Docs. It is a great basic online "Office type suite" that runs off the web which means no licenses to buy, files to backup or copy to a USB drive.

If you havent enjoyed the goodness that is Google Docs, you really should take a quick look at http://docs.google.com

One nice thing about it is that Google is constantly updating it and yesterday was no exception. You can read their blog entry here.


If you use Chrome, Safari or Firefox, you can now drag and drop files directly into Google Docs. You can upload an MS Office file and Google will convert it to their native format. Work on it alone, use the collaboration tools, and then you can easily re-export it to any format you want:
